Strengths and Weaknesses of Indian textile Industry

Textile is a vast sector that works for and with the nation. In a country like India where much of employment needs are fulfilled through textile companies along with economic stability too, it gets really very important to keep a track of its strength and weaknesses so as to ensure ongoing development and growth.

Strengths:

  1. Raw material like resources is available in abundance in Indian textile industry. Silk, viscose and polyesters are common fibers that are easily accessible here. Alongside largest production of cotton in the world makes the country even more appreciable.
  2. As mentioned before, the country works with the nation, India is extensively rich in skilled professionals and designers who develop great designs at reasonable rates in comparison to other countries. Labor rates a lower which automatically reduces the capital requirements and improved results and subsequent profits.
  3. Spinning sector of the country is much advanced and contributes to the value chain processes.
  4. Garment industry of India is also very much diverse in terms of quality, manufacturing, output qualities, fabric requirements etc. Supplies from both international and domestic markets are included.
Weakness:

  1. Small scale companies are the leaders of Indian textile industry and all the processes are implemented with the view of helping the same. Technical advancement is not very sound with them because of the insufficient resources to support. This results in loss of productivity.
  2. Indian labor is quite unfavorable and traders need reformation for them in India.
  3. Indian outlook towards textile market is very much optimistic. Future prospects explain impressive growth rate in the Indian textile industry.

Inside view of today’s textile industry

Looks trendy from outside, but is deeply embedded with huge amount of efforts and dedication of the workers. While rejecting one fabric, none of us would have ever thought about who has created it and with so much effort and we do it out of our own wishes. Sometimes the fabric doesn’t match the expectations and other time we don’t like the color combination. Whatever the reason might be, it is done with open hands. This is the reason why it is said that the textile industry today is consumer based and works in accordance with desires. In a way consumers are the leaders. And the textile industry moulds itself according to them. You might not ever be able to see any design which is ruled out by the users. Another would be ready for you with latest styles and fabric etc.

Choosing right kind of fabric gets difficult sometimes. In such a case, it is always recommended that one should undergo a complete R&D process beforehand. Then only use the material provided by that company. Cotton fabric is the chosen one from all the options available and duplicity is very much common in them. Consumers today don’t need any guidance but presenting the industry scenario is our job so take precautions while deciding about the material to be used as per your purposes.

Textile industry builds fashion statement

Recent development in the textile industry is said to be a kind of textile revolution which has attracted manufactures from all over the world towards itself for building their niche but only handful of them have succeeded in the task and have emerged as the distinct ones. Different reasons are there behind this. One of the reasons is the changing fashion trends which are different every next day. One there would be something very specific and on another day, it will be replaced by something else. That’s amazing but tough for the industries to catch up in the speed and gloom like all the others. Ones, who are ahead in the race get recognition and establish themselves exactly in the way it is required.

Quality and durability are the two most important aspects in all types of textiles, to be more correct textile industry is based on them only which enable it to gloom all around. Manufactures have to be careful about the fabric, quality and other related things in accordance with the latest fashion. After this support, marketing of any fabric, clothing or any textile material becomes any absolutely easy task. Textile sells itself, if it is enriched with all the requirements of the industry.

Textile industry in India

Textile industry has its own definition. It is actually something every specific with variations, sounds contradictory isn’t it? It is somehow only because of one reason that the huge array of a variety of products that it provides ranges from one variety to the other. It has specific fields like luxury or business or everyday clothes which further have variations in looks, quality and variety. I mean there are so many things which are considered while dealing with the textile industry because it is used by every person each day. The different varieties of products are ever mounting and even exhaustive. Fabric comes into the category of daily usage material which has various branches.

First and foremost priority in this is given to the garment manufacturing. Apart from this fabric is required for shoes too. If we talk about shoes industry, now that too is one the growth stages which earlier were quite stagnant. Now it’s almost moving ahead providing shoes made of higher quality fabric to the elite and lowers to other classes depending upon the industry level and requirements. Cost varies from one to the other. Variants of products are offered to different customers.

There is no such limitation to the textile industry. It can move across boundaries from one country to the other. This is actually a trend. Cotton might be famous is one country but still is used in the others too because of the quality and smart appeal. Same is the case with tricot, synthetic and silk or any other material used in the textile industry. Export and import in the same industry are attracting more and more customers in order to cater the needs of the society which too is increasing and spreading like fire.

Huge amounts of profits are flowing into garment manufacturing but without disappointing the general public. They are not be fooled on prices rather get benefited somehow. Profits are a result of increase in sales and not prices. Fabric industry is flourishing day by day along with the society which is also getting successful alongside.

In textile industry too, one has social responsibilities towards different groups. This is in regard to the environmental protection and the interest of the society. Each and every person associated with this industry has to follow some rules and regulations; their ways of performing them might be different. Consumers and the stakeholders are the two most important parties and every company from the textile industry has to take care about their interest along with employees, investors, government, suppliers and even competitors. With them, survival of the company is endangered.

No matter which every background you have, ones getting attached to this sector get more and more benefit to each one as textile is among the most important sectors which brings trade and increases sales in every country. Make sure that you oblige by the rules and other related issues and do not forsake the interest of any of the parties then only the industry and the company would move towards prosperity.
